Mite House is for players ages 6-8 who can skate and are ready to play games and scrimmages. Younger players may also participate at the coaching staff's discretion.

Season begins mid-September and runs through early-March.

Practices and home games will be primarily at the Northbrook Sports Center. Some practices throughout the season may be held at Jet Ice.

Practices are 2 times per week unless there is a game. Then it is 1 practice and 1 game. Practice times are:

Saturdays @10:20am

Sundays @1:10pm

Teams will play approximately 16 games during the season against nearby teams.

Players will receive a Northbrook Bluehawks reversible jersey and hockey socks at the beginning of the season.

Each family with one or more children in House and/or Travel programs will be required to complete volunteer hours throughout the year. There will also be an “Opt Out” option. 

NBHL will utilize the Crossbar system to manage our volunteer opportunities. This program is not intended to be a fundraiser. There is a lot of volunteer work and hours to be completed each year and this program is meant to spread the hours needed among the entire program.

Each player is required to have an AAU membership before the start of the season. New this year, the Northbrook Bluehawks will register your player and purchase the membership for you!
